Powell's Burlingame

Our Story

Welcome to Powell's Burlingame!

Thanks for checking out our page. We are located at 1166 Howard Avenue, on the corner of Howard and Lorton, one block South of Burlingame Avenue.  Burlingame Avenue is a great shopping hub where you will find such stores as Books Inc, The Gap, Pottery Barn, Smith and Hawken and Sephora. Hope you stop by our store soon for a walk down memory lane, a game of Candy Land on our outside tables or to savor some of our many treats.

Here are some fun facts about our town:

- Known as The City of Trees, Burlingame is a beautiful little town 20 minutes South of San Francisco. It lies on the Peninsula bordering the bay.

- Burlingame was incorporated on June 6, 1908, so Powell's Burlingame opened its doors as the town was celebrating its centennial.

-The Burlingame Train Station is a state historical landmark. It was the first permanent building of the "Mission-Revival" style, inspired by California's Spanish missions.

- Burlingame is home to the famous Pez Museum and world renown Guittard Chocolates

Plan to spend the day. Take the train from the city or south bay. Shop Burlingame Avenue, lunch at one of the many restaurants or grab a sandwich and picnic across the street at Washington Park.

Hope we see you soon!
